Disney Beauty and the Beast Storybook Art Embellished Vintage Luggage Suitcase. For your consideration is a vintage suitcase that I have embellished with artwork from Disney's Beauty and the Beast storybooks in a collage form. I have captured Belle living in the Beast's castle, her father being captured, Gaston's evil antics, our favorite castle inhabitants and finally Belle falling in love with the Beast.
The front side focuses on Belle and the back side focuses on the Beast and Gaston. The colors are vibrant and the graphics of this fairy tale are very recognizable to all of us. I've been collecting these books for quite sometime in order to create this suitcase. I have taken the pages of these books and created a collage on both sides of the suitcase.
I've used the actual pages - not copies. I have trimmed the edges of the suitcase with a white gimp trim. All my embellished products are one of a kind. I have tied a blue and yellow ribbon to the handle. Hanging from the handle is a small Belle doll.It also has its original key. The suitcase is a mustard yellow and circa 1960's/1970's.
It has a dark muted gold quilted fabric interior which is very clean and nice with no damage. The inside lid has an elastic pouch. It is a smaller size suitcase perfect for carrying around. It measures 16" across, 12" tall (not counting the handle), and 4 deep.This suitcase is in very nice condition, especially being 40 - 50 years old. This suitcase is very decorative as well as functional. Perfect for the Disney and Beauty and the Beast fan.
Great for your pin trading collection, an overnighter, car trip, for storing special items or for display. Don't miss out on this unique item. Decoupage is a tricky process and I pride myself on smooth pictures with no bubbles and nice finishing. You can see this from my photos. Do not check this suitcase with the airlines as the artwork can get damaged from sharp or rough surfaces.Also, do not expose to water. If it gets splashed, let air dry - do not rub. (I have enclosed a care card inside). The last photo is a few of my other cases from my personal collection. Cogsworth the clock is not included.
